ChronoShift Industries is a leading manufacturer in drone technology. Founded in 1990, ChronoShift Industries has been on the forefront of UAVs, robotics, cybernetics, and Artificial Intelligence since its inception.
Originally founded as a producer of RC Planes, ChronoShift Industries grew in size and manufacturing abilities, designing bigger and bigger models, some with a 45 foot wingspan and propelled with jet engines.
The Department of Defense became interested, and subsequently contracted CSI to build unmanned reconnaissance planes for the military. As the desire to “un-man” the battlefield grew, battlefield commanders wanted their drones to not only observe the enemy, but be able to strike back at targets when the opprotunity presented itself.
ChronoShift Industries then began weapons and technology research to be able to better outfit their drones for combat. CSI opened divisions dedicated to researching advanced Jet and Plasma propulsion systems, advanced aerodynamics, telecommunications and electronics equipment, and optical and infrared sensors.
However, two research division were head-and-shoulders above the rest: Weapons and Hi-Tek. The Weapons Research Division began researching in everything from guided munitions (LOSBR, SACLOS, and FNF), to directed-energy weapons, to quantum mechanics and particle physics. Meanwhile, Hi-Tek began researching into things such as anti-gravity technology and advanced Artificial Intelligence.
