So, looking at the web site statistics for this past month, I’ve notice quite a few visitors have a default language of something other than English. In response, I added a Google translation widget into the side bar. On any page of the site, you can just select your language from the drop-down menu and Google will automatically translate the entire page.

Site Updates

I’ve made some further updates to the site, so hopefully it runs smoother and is more streamlined. I’ve changed the sidebar around a little bit, getting rid of some widgets that I didn’t think were very helpful, while adding a few more that I thought would be. I posted my Personal Links and my Blogroll.

However, probably the most notable change right now is the change from the standard WordPress search feature to an integrated Google search bar. You can access the search function on the search page, or you can just use the search form on the right. Results will keep you at here at chrono101.com, or if you decided to follow the search links they will redirect you to the appropriate site. Hopefully it saves you a step and a few clicks if you ever feel the need to search for something whenever you are browsing around here. If anybody gets any errors or malfunctions, just comment here and let me know.

Site Configurations

I’ve been pretty busy lately, so I’m trying to get as much done with this site as possible. I’m working on developing a color scheme that is pleasing, and I’ve found the WordPress theme that I want to stick with (for now). I’ve also finished installing Google Analytics and AdSense Plugins for the site. You should now begin to see ads placed randomly within the posts, as this site is ad supported (at least until I get some more capital).

I am still tweaking the site’s configuration though, so it might change several times in the next few weeks. Site layout is very important, as the user has to be able to easily navigate the site and find what they want with no problem.

Be sure to hang around, and remember to add this site to your favorites if you enjoy it and want to come back to it. I’m working on making Chrono101.com a premium blog with some high-caliber content, so be sure to stop back by later!
